SmartScreen Warning

If Windows shows a security warning when you open the app, don't worry. Here we explain why it happens and what to do.

Why does Windows SmartScreen show a warning?

When you open the app you may see a "Windows protected your PC" or "Unknown publisher" message. This happens because our software is not signed with a paid Microsoft code-signing certificate.

Is it dangerous?

No. SmartScreen simply alerts about any program whose publisher is not on its trust list. The app is safe.

How can the warning be removed?

To remove it permanently, the app needs a Microsoft code-signing certificate. It is not signed at this time.

What should you do?

  1. Click "More information" in the SmartScreen dialog.
  2. Then click "Run anyway".
  3. Only needed once — the app will remember your choice.

Safety tip: always download ESOLL from our official website or from GitHub Releases to ensure the binary is authentic and unmodified.
